Musselburgh Youngstars were established by a group of parents in 2003 with only around 12 boys. It now has over 200 players ranging from ages 5 to 17, and 32 coaches over 8 different age groups. Most groups are capped at around 20 to allow personal attention to all players – and to encourage them all to get equally involved in training and games. Musselburgh Youngstars are a club that abide by the principles of fair play and treats football as fun, but also always strives to do its best.
