Macron Sports Hub Edinburgh is the amalgamation of one of Scotland’s most experienced teamwear suppliers and one of the most respected and fastest growing teamwear brands in Europe. Both companies have a strong history and are continually growing and adapting to provide the best service possible to all sports clubs.

COLIN CAMPBELL SPORTS HISTORY
- 1983After retiring from professional football, Colin opened his first retail store in Ratcliffe Terrace, Edinburgh. A general sports shop that supplied kit and equipment for multiple sports.
- 1990Opened our second retail store in Inverleith Row, Edinburgh.
- 1992Opened our third retail store in Benbecula, Outer Hebrides.
- 1998Started a new journey as a specialist Teamwear supplier, ‘Total Football’, serving as a ‘one-stop shop’ for local football clubs. This business model was the first of its kind in Scotland and aimed to supply anything that a club may need.
- 2020Formed a trusted partnership with Macron, one of Europe’s leading kit suppliers, to become the official Macron Store Edinburgh. As an exclusive seller of the brand, we showcase the full Macron Teamwear ranges across a vast number of sports including football, rugby, hockey and more.
- 2021Moved into a new, larger premises at 18 Beaverbank Place, Edinburgh. Macron Store Edinburgh features an on-site print department, warehouse, offices, retail area and club kit showroom.
MACRON HISTORY
- 1971Macron is founded in Bologna and starts its business as the exclusive Italian distributor of baseball equipment on behalf of MacGregor USA and other American baseball brands.
- 1974Macron acquires Record Sports and, in addition to distributing sports equipment, starts producing kits for professional baseball, basketball and volleyball teams on behalf of other brands.
- 2001Macron’s adventure in professional football begins with the first sponsorship of a top-level club: Bologna FC 1909. From that moment, the Macron logo can be seen on the jerseys of numerous professional teams.
- 2010The Macron Store project is launched: a unique outlet displaying the full range of Macron products, from teamwear to accessories, from merchandising to leisurewear. Macron also opens its Official Online Shop to bring supporters closer to their teams.
- 2012Macron introduces the Athleisure collection, designed for those who like to wear Macron even in their free time.
- 2013Macron signs its first technical sponsorship contract with a national team: Scottish Rugby Union, confirming Macron as a leader in rugby.
- 2014Macron becomes technical sponsor of Bolton Wanderers FC and acquires the naming rights for the club’s stadium, which was then called the Macron Stadium.
- 2015Under the supervision and advice of professional athletes, Macron conceives its Running collection, characterised by technicality, functionality and design.
- 2018"A new Hero is born" : Macron presents the restyling of its logo, which contains a new icon: the Macron Hero, with a more modern and determined character. Macron becomes the official league kit provider of the Canadian Premier League.
- 2019Macron becomes the official UEFA Referee Match Kit Supplier. For the first time an Italian company provides referee uniforms and technical wear for all UEFA competitions.
- 2020Macron moves into its new Headquarters, built with a focus on innovation, efficiency and environmental sustainability. The new site combines all operations into one single distribution centre.
- 2021Macron enters the world of Padel with a line of rackets and technical equipment. Embracing the Macron 4 the Planet project, many of the professional clubs choose the Eco-Fabric for their uniforms.
- 2022Macron becomes the new technical partner of World Rugby providing apparel for Emirates Race Officials and World Rugby staff, for international matches and Rugby World Cup 2023.
